CNN Picks Up On Charles Sherrod's 'White Man and His Uncle Tom's' Remark

CNN's Joe Johns suprisingly highlighted Charles Sherrod's racially-charged comments about stopping "the white man and his uncle tom's from stealing our elections" during a segment on Thursday's Anderson Cooper 360... Anchor Anderson Cooper, after devoting some time faulting himself for not pressing Mrs. Sherrod after she labeled conservative Andrew Breitbart a "vicious" racist during a July 22 interview, introduced the correspondent's report "There's also a new aspect to the Shirley Sherrod story...Questions about her and her husband, Charles...keep popping up on some conservative blogs. The questions center around why and how Shirley Sherrod got appointed to her old job at...

Consumer confidence continues to sink (Obamanomics continue to sink consumer confidence)

Uncertainty about the economy continued to shake consumer confidence in July, pushing a key measure of morale to the lowest level since February. The Conference Board, a New York-based research group, said Tuesday that its Consumer Confidence Index dropped for a second straight month, to 50.4 in July from June's upwardly revised level of 54.3. July's reading was lower than expected. Economists had forecast the index to have ticked down to 51 in July from 52.9 in June, according to a consensus estimate from Briefing.com. "Consumer confidence faded further in July as consumers continue to grow increasingly more pessimistic about...

Marco Rubio standing firm against CNN's W. Blitzer's spinning questions

I just watched Marco Rubio answering CNN's Blitzer's questions sone by one, especially on trying to trick him into "denouncing" the 'TeaParty.' As Wolf asked about the 'alleged racism' in the TeaParty, Marco rejected it flat out, Marco: TeaParty is "everyday folks" in America who believe that America is the greatest country... they believe in less taxes... It's about policies... Wolf: What about hatered against Obama? Marco: I watched anti Bush jeered at Obama's inauguration...

The new dimension of international terrorism - Page 115 Stefan M. Aubrey - 2004 - 312 pages [p. 115-116] A further extension of this philosophy can be found in the teachings of the Lebanese spiritual leader Shaykh Muhammad Hussein Fadlallah. While Fadlallah agreed that the teachings of the Koran provided for the use of force and jihad for defensive purposes, the contemporary situation of the Middle East creates a scenario that tends to breed violence. CNN Host Calls for Legal Crackdown on 'Bloggers' in Wake of Sherrod Incident

Should there be a "gatekeeper" regulating internet bloggers? In the aftermath of the Shirley Sherrod incident, that's what CNN promoted on July 23. Anchors Kyra Phillips and John Roberts discussed the "mixed blessing of the internet," and agreed that there should be a crackdown on anonymous bloggers who disparage others on the internet. "There are so many great things that the internet does and has to offer, but at the same time, Kyra, as you know, there is this dark side," Roberts said. "Imagine what would have happened if we hadn't taken a look at what happened with Shirley Sherrod...

Ann Coulter: OBAMA'S POLL NUMBERS DOWN, IMAGINARY RACISM UP (Libs Stumble/Mumble Over Race!)

OBAMA'S POLL NUMBERS DOWN, IMAGINARY RACISM UPJuly 21, 2010 The Democrats are depressed about their collapsing poll numbers, so it's time to start calling conservatives "racist." As we now know from the Journolist list-serv, where hundreds of liberal journalists chat with one another, and which was leaked to Daily Caller this week, journalists cry "racism" whenever they need to distract from bad news for Obama. (Ironically, this story did not make headlines.) When the Rev. Jeremiah Wright scandal broke during the 2008 campaign, the first response of Spencer Ackerman of the Washington Independent was to demand that they start randomly...

CNN’s Campbell Brown To NAACP VP: ‘You Allowed Yourselves To Be Snookered’

This Shirley Sherrod story has really brought out the aggressive side of CNN. Earlier in the day, John King went toe-to-toe with Andrew Breitbart over the video released on Big Government that cost him his job. Later, Campbell Brown took down the vice president of the NAACP on their president’s statement that they were “snookered,” telling the organization, “you’re the ones to blame here.” Brown, in rare aggressive form not really seen since her classic takedown of McCain campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds in 2008, slammed NAACP Vice President Hilary Shelton for repeating the claim made by President Ben Jealous that...
